Position Overview:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing the basic financial operations of the family office, reporting to Senior Executives. This role involves handling the essential aspects of bookkeeping, managing financial statements and preparing reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of personal and family office accounting, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a confidential and professional manner. This is not a normal accounting/bookkeeper role, it is dynamic, ever changing and active in multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the family office and Principal.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports.
• Laisse with tax preparation team.
• Reconcile bank accounts, expenses, and bill pay system.
• Assist in financial organization of the family’s real estate, investments, and other assets.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the Senior Executives.
• Properly code for all categories of purchases and investments.
• Assist with personal and business-related financial projects as directed by the leadership.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper, with an understanding of family office operations
• Experience with investment portfolios, real estate management, and personal financial planning
• Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
• Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
• Must be flexible in an ever-changing work environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet software
