Overview

We are seeking to employ an experienced Landscaper/Handyman/Houseman for our wonderful estate in Fort Lauderdale. The home is 26,000 sq ft and is one of the premier estates in South Florida, located on the New River, on an acre of land.

The ideal candidate would have 10+ years working for an ultra high net worth family maintaining a luxuy residence or similar role on a large Yacht. The successful candidate will exhibit qualities including being professional in presentation, professional attitude, courteous, discreet and confidential. The successful candidate should also have a wide variety of general maintenance knowledge, landscaping experience, be highly organized, fast paced and have an eye for detail. Vessel operation and maintenance experience an advantage.

The successful candidate will work 5 days per week, with flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays as requested.

Responsibilities

• Swimming Pools
  • Maintain 3 swimming pools and a large water feature in terms of cleanliness, water chemistry and filtration equipment (training will beprovided if required)

• Vehicles
  • Arrange scheduled maintenance of 3+ vehicles
  • Clean and fuel vehicles

•  Vessel
  • Arrange scheduled maintenance of 53’ HCB Suenos
    • Maintain teak deck
    • Polish and maintain all surfaces
    • Regularly clean vessel
    • Cover and un-cover vessel
    • Ideal candidate will have background in vessel operation

• Landscaping
  • Undertake general landscaping duties around residence
  • Trim hedges, trim trees
  • Cut lawns and edging
  • Maintain irrigation system to ensure operational and adjustments as required
  • Weed and maintainntropical landscape of residence

• General Maintenance
  • Wash down of driveways and basement area
  • Pressure clean and air blow all outside patio areas and balconies
  • Clean glass fencing and windows
  • Replace air conditioning filters as required
  • Change light bulbs as required
  • Clean metal decorative slats around the residence
  • Maintain dock area including maintenance staining as required
  • Manage trash out to the road for pick up
  • Clean, cover and uncover outdoor furniture
  • Clean BBQ’s outside fridges and ice machines
  • Experience with dogs an advantage

• Events at Residence
  • Able to assist with set up and supporting any events at the residence

• Vehicle Driving
  • Be available to drive luggage to aircraft for long trips and to do some driving if required for dinners and events (very infrequent).
